State Chartered Banks, Trust Companies, and Savings and Loan
The Financial Institutions Division supervises federally insured State Chartered Commercial Banks and Trust Companies. The function of supervision, management and liaison is under the direction of the Industry manager for state chartered banks and state chartered trust companies. The examination function is under the direction of the Chief examiner.
The Financial Institutions Divisions does not regulate federally chartered financial institutions. They are regulated by the Comptroller of the Currency. They can be reached at occ.treas.gov. Bank Holding Companies are regulated by the Federal Reserve. They can be reached at federalreserve.gov.
