Hoisting Program: Overview
The New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department oversees the crane industry within the state of New Mexico. All crane operators performing construction, demolition, or excavation work must have a valid and current New Mexico license to operate within the State. The program also provides licensing exemption to those who have successfully completed an in State recognized in house training course based on the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Licensing authority is statewide and relates to crane type, tonnage, and seat-time for which licensing is sought.
This program ensures crane operators are properly trained and certified, along with protecting life and property when operating these and complicated machines.
