-
Completion of a seven (7) hour USPAP course as part of the twenty-eight (28) hours of Continuing Education before your license expiration date.
Q: I am licensed in another state and I want a temporary license in New Mexico. Do I have to provide your state with a letter of good standing?
If you are listed on the ASC website, we do not require a letter of good standing.
Q: I am working to move up in licensure, will the required courses I take for that process also count for continuing education?
Yes.
Q: Can I take the 15 hour USPAP course in lieu of the seven hours USPAP update course?
No. The 15 hour USPAP course can be taken for 14 hours of continuing education. If submitting both the 15 hour USPAP course and the seven hour USPAP update course, they will not count toward CEs for renewal if they were both taken in the same calendar year.
Q: What is required for renewal?
Complete an on-line renewal application and submit the required renewal fee by going to http://www.rld.state.nm.us/boards/Online_License_Renewals.aspx before April 30th of the renewal year. You will need to enter your registration code, which is provided in your e-mailed renewal notice. The registration code will be the same each renewal period.
A printable booklet of the Rules and Statutes is available under Rules and Laws.
IF you were selected for AUDIT pursuant to 16.62.7.10 (C) NMAC, please e-mail your CE certificates as proof of completion to: nm.reab@state.nm.us and list your license number in the subject line.
Your license will be renewed and mailed once the Board Office determines that your application is complete and you satisfy all the renewal requirements.
Q: How often does the board meet?
Quarterly.
