Attention Establishment and Booth Establishment Licensees:
On-line Renewal for Establishments and Booth Establishment license is now available! Please see important information below before you begin renewing your establishment license.
A recent rule amendment changed your Establishment and Booth Establishment expiration date to expire on the original month of issuance. You must pay the pro-rated fee listed below no later than March 31, 2016. Thereafter, you will pay the yearly renewal fee in the month of expiration. (For example, if your license was originally issued in April, your pro-rated fee is $4.17, due by March 31, 2016. A $50.00 renewal fee will be due by April 30, 2016. Upon renewal, your license will expire on April 30, 2017.). The issue date can be found on your license. The pro-rated fee can be found at the bottom of this page. School Establishments will continue to expire in March.
If you would like to renew your Establishment or Booth Establishment license, please submit your pro-rated fee to the Board office by March 31, 2016. Please send payment to: NM Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists, PO Box 25101, Santa Fe, NM 87504.

Upon renewal, these license types will expire in the original month of issuance and will no longer expire on March 31 (unless you license was issued in March).
Attention NM Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists Licensees:
Your license number has been updated to include a prefix for the type of license you hold. Please use the appropriate abbreviation before you enter your license number. For example, if you are a Cosmetologist and your license number is 100, you must now enter C100 as your license number.

ON-LINE LICENSE RENEWAL
You are able to renew online after you receive the renewal notification information that contains your registration number; or you may contact the board office to obtain a registration code by calling 505-476-4622. You can also update your address or email address at any time once, you have created a user name and password. If you have forgotten your user name or password, you will have to re-register.

(On-line applications are not available at this time, with the exception of students who attended a Board Approved School in NM and who are applying for initial licensure). Students are encouraged to apply for initial licensure on-line.
