Board Meeting Information:
Notice is hereby given that the New Mexico Board of Landscape Architects (“Board”) will hold a public rule hearing on Friday, April 29, 2016, at the Toney Anaya Building, 2550 Cerrillos Rd. Santa Fe, New Mexico 87504, in the Rio Grande Conference Room. The rule hearing will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by the regular scheduled Board Meeting in which the Board will adopt the rules and discuss items on the agenda.
The purpose of the rule hearing is to consider adoption of proposed amendments and additions to the following Board Rules and Regulations in 16.44 NMAC: Part 1 General Provisions, Part 2 Educational and Examination Requirements for Licensure or Certification, Part 3 Registration for Licensure or Certification, Part 4 License or Certificate Expiration and Renewal, Part 5 Continuing Professional Education Requirements, Part 6 Inactive Status and Reinstatement, Part 7 Code of Professional Conduct, Part 8 Fees, and Part 9 Complaints.
The Board’s proposed rules are available on the Board’s website at: http://www.rld.state.nm.us/boards/Landscape_Architects_Practices.aspx. Individuals requesting copies of proposed rules may also contact the Board Office at the Toney Anaya Building, 2550 Cerrillos Road, P.O. Box 25101, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87504, or by calling (505) 476-4622. A copy of the agenda for the regular board meeting will be available at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting and will be posted on the board’s website. The agenda may also be obtained by contacting the Board Office.
In order for the Board Members to review public comments in their meeting packets prior to the meeting, individuals who do not wish to attend the hearing may submit written or recorded comments. Written or recorded comments must be received no later than April 15, 2016, by 5:00 P.M. Individuals wishing to present their comments at the hearing need to provide ten (10) copies of any comments or proposed changes for distribution to the Board and staff.
The Board may enter into Executive Session pursuant to § 10-15-1.H of the Open Meetings Act, to discuss matters related to the issuance, suspension, renewal or revocation of licenses.
Persons with a disability who need a reader, amplifier, qualified sign language interpreter, or any other form of auxiliary aid or service to attend or participate in the hearing or meeting may contact the Board Office at (505) 476-4622 at least ten (10) days in advance notice to provide requested alternative formats and special accommodations.
