Special Dispenser Permits & Public Celebration Permits

Special Dispenser Permits (SDP), sometimes called a picnic license are used for functions such as wedding receptions, gallery openings, or community fiestas that are taking place off of a liquor licensed premises. These permits are not issued to private individuals, only the holder of Dispenser type liquor licenses may apply for one. For details see our FAQ’s.

Public Celebration permits are similar to SDP's but are issued only to Winegrowers, Small Brewer and Craft Distiller license holders. These permits are used at festivals such as the Bernalillo County Wine Festival.

All laws that apply on a normal licensed premise apply at the location of the SDP or public celebration.
