Our function is to regulate the practice of public accountancy by Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and Registered Public Accountants (RPAs). This includes the practice of both individuals and public accounting firms. The practice of public accountancy includes the issuance of reports on financial statements; management, advisory, or consulting services; preparation of tax returns; and the furnishing of advice on tax matters as well as audits.

Regulation consists of examinations, licensing, review of continuing education, peer review monitoring, investigation of complaints, and disciplinary hearings when required.
