How many hours do I need to renew my license?
You will need a total of 32 hours and the seven hour USPAP update course and board renewal update course must be included in the 32 hours.

I am licensed in another state and I want a temporary license in New Mexico. Do I have to provide your state with a letter of good standing?
If you are listed on the ASC website, we do not require a letter of good standing.

I am working to move up in licensure, will the required courses I take for that process also count for continuing education?
Yes.

Can I take the 15 hour USPAP course in lieu of the 7 hours USPAP update course?
No. The 15 hour USPAP course can be taken for 14 hours of continuing education. If submitting both the 15 hour USPAP course and the seven (7) hour USPAP update course, they will not count toward CEs for renewal if they were both taken in the same calendar year.

What is required for renewal?
Submit a completed renewal application accompanied by the required fee and documentation of continuing education hours. Renewal applications must be post-marked or delivered to the Board Office on or before April 30th of the renewal year.

How often does the board meet?
Quarterly.
