Our function is to license and regulate Dietitians and Nutritionists and their respective professions in the treatment of disease and the maintenance of health. Through licensure, the public can identify people with education and experience in the sciences related to nutrition and food management. While anyone can furnish nutritional information on food or vitamins, only licensed individuals may call themselves Nutritionists or Dietitians.
