Cannabis Control Division

Welcome to the New Mexico Regulation & licensing Department.

Alcoholic Beverage Control Division

issues, transfers and revokes liquor licenses as specified in the Liquor Control Act. It also administers the Alcohol Server Training Program, educating licensees and servers to prevent sales of alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated persons.

The Boards and Commissions Division

licenses and regulates more than 30 different professions and specialized trades, from accountants to funeral directors. It establishes educational and training standards to ensure New Mexicans receive quality care and services from qualified professionals.

The Financial Institutions Division

The Division regulates state-chartered banks, savings & loans, credit unions and trust companies. The Division also licenses other financial establishments such as small loan companies, collection agencies, escrows, etc.

Construction Industries & Manufactured Housing Division

The Division is responsible for issuing residential and commercial building permits. The Division conducts field inspections for general building, electrical, mechanical, and LP Gas code compliance and safety standards.

Office of the Superintendent

Ensuring New Mexicans receive quality care and services from qualified professionals. Contact the Office of the Superintendent, media inquires, and file public record requests.

The Securities Division

Protects investors from fraud and financial exploitation by licensing broker-dealers, financial advisers and other investment professionals. It also registers certain securities offered in New Mexico, investigates financial fraud and educates investors to avoid investment swindles.
