The fee for fingerprints will increase to $44 on January 1, 2010.
The Alcohol and Gaming Division administers the licensing provisions of the New Mexico Liquor Control Act. The Special Investigations Division of the Department of Public Safety administers the enforcement provisions of the Liquor Control Act.
Personnel are charged with several functions that include: administration, licensing, server training, and citation disposition, along with other office support functions. In cooperation with our licensees, local communities, and our agency partners, we meet our licensing and regulatory mandates with honesty, impartiality, efficiency, fairness, and the highest degree of concern for the citizens of the State Of New Mexico.
We protect the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of and visitors to the State Of New Mexico and the economic vitality of our licensees by regulating the sale, service, and public consumption of alcoholic beverages.
We emphasize educating licensees and servers of alcoholic beverages to prevent sales of alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated persons, and work to eliminate licensed premises that constitute a public nuisance in the neighborhood in which they are located.
